What is the story of The Nutcracker?
New for 2021, explore the Palace rooms, each one exquisitely transformed and filled with hidden surprises – from the toymaker’s workshop on a frosty Christmas Eve; through the glistening Land of Snow and onto the candy-cane Kingdom of Sweets adorned with the sweetest of treats and larger-than-life gingerbread men. It’s a fairy-tale world where nothing is quite as it seems, from a dashing Nutcracker Prince and an army of mice to a Sugar Plum Fairy and a music box with a difference. This fantastical winter wonderland is where the magic really begins….

If I am delayed and miss my story of The Nutcracker entry time slot, can I join at a later time?
We will try and accommodate you into the Palace on the next available slot, subject to availability.
How long will it take to walk through the Palace?
We recommend to allow approximately one hour for the experience.
What should I wear?
The Illuminated Trail takes place outdoors and you may need to queue outdoors for the story of The Nutcracker on busy days. Please ensure you have sufficient warm and waterproof clothing. Visitors are strongly advised to wear sturdy shoes as the Illuminated Trail takes place on natural paths covering areas of uneven ground and variable terrain.
Can I bring food or drink into the Palace?
Food and drink is strictly prohibited within the Palace.
Can I take photographs?

How/when will I receive my tickets?
Your E-Tickets will be attached to your confirmation email.
I bought tickets but have not received a confirmation email. What should I do?
Please check your Junk/Spam folders as sometimes the confirmation email falls into these folders. If you still have not receied your confirmation email, please visit the Customer Service at the top of the booking process and undernath "Forgotten your details?" you can type in the email address you used to book your tickets with. This will re-send your email confirmation to you and your E-Tickets.

Do I have to purchase parking in advance?
Yes, all parking is limited and a parking space MUST be purchased in advance online. A transaction fee will apply if car parking is booked separately.
If you have not purchased parking with your ticket, local parking is otherwise limited and fly parking will not be permitted. There will be limited on-the-night parking available at the car park however this cannot be guaranteed.
I forgot to purchase parking. What should I do?
Is there a bus or coach service to and from Blenheim Palace?
There are regular coach services running from London Victoria Coach station to Gloucester Green in Oxford. You can check prices and times by visiting www.oxfordtube.com
How can I travel to Blenheim Palace by train?
The nearest train station is Oxford Parkway. Please check train schedules carefully to ensure you leave adequate time to travel from the station to Blenheim Palace nd for your return. For timetales and tickets, please visit www.gwr.com or www.chilternrailways.co.uk. The journey from Oxford Parkway train station to Blenheim Palace takes appoximately 15 minutes, thugh may take longer during rush hour or busy periods.
I am an Annual Pass Holder at Blenheim Palace, do I need to book a ticket for the story of The Nutcracker?
Yes. As an Annual Pass Holder, you will need to book your time slot for the story of The Nutcracker in the Palace. Your valid Annual Pass gives you free entry to the story of The Nutcracker in the Palace before 4pm.
How do I become an Annual Pass Holder?
To become an Annual Pass Holder, purchase a Palace ticket online and then choose to donate your Palace admission to Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation at the end of the booking process.
Where do I collect my Annual Pass?
You can collect your Annual Pass from the Welcome Kiosk at the Flagstaff Gate between 09:30am until 7:00pm.
What benefits will Annual Pass Holders receive at Christmas at Blenheim Palace?
Annual Pass Holders will benefit from free entry into the story of The Nutcracker before 4pm subject to availability. A ticket for free entry MUST be booked online in advance and one valid Annual Pass Photocard or Annual Pass collection voucher must be shown on arrival for each ticket - failure to do so will reuslt in a full price charge on the day or refusal of entry. A Photo Card Annual Pass will be required to access the Palace. The Welcome Kiosk will be open from 09:30am until 7:00pm each day to exchange collection vouchers for photo cards before accessing the Palace.
Annual Pass Holder discounts do not apply on Sat 11 & Sun Dec and Sat 18 & Sun 19 Dec.
Is the Palace suitable for wheelchair users?
Inside the Palace the State Rooms are all on one level and accessible for wheelchair users.
Is there a lift or ramp within the Palace?
There is a ramp and a lift to get into the Palace for wheelchair users. The Palace lift is situated in the Great Courtyard towards the West colonnades.
Can I bring my own mobility scooter or can mobility scooters be provided?
Mobility scooters will not be available at Christmas at Blenheim Palace. You are therefore welcome to bring your own.
I need more than one carer, what should I do?
Disabled ticket holders are entitled to one free carer ticket for an essential carer / companion. This should be booked via See Tickets at the same time as purchasing all other tickets and parking spaces.
Is there a quiet access session?

Can I purchase food and drink on site?

Is there a gift shop?
Blenheim Palace has a well-stocked gift shop which is open until 10:30pm on nights the trail is open.
How much are Ride Tokens?
Ride Token Vouchers can be purchased in advance for £10.00, in exchange for 5 x Ride Tokens on site. Alternatively, Ride Token Vouchers can be purchased on the night.
What happens if the Palace is cancelled?
If we are forced to cancel the Palace due to unforseen circumstances, please note that the decision to cancel will be taken as early as 08:30am on the day. You will be notified by email and text message and See Tickets will contact customers to outline the options available to them. We advise you to check our website for the latest updates here.
If I am unable to attend a different day, can I get a refund?
If the Palace is cancelled due to weather and ticket holders are not able to attend, an alternative night will be offered, then a refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Where a refund is due, the ticket must be returned within 28 days following the Palace date. We can also offer a voucher for the following year.
I have booked for the wrong day, can I transfer over to another day?
No, we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds once tickets have been purchased. Is it noted on the website and at the point of booking that you need to make sure that you have chosen the right date and timeslot at the time of making your booking.
I have lost my ticket, what can I do?
If you require your E-Tickets to be re-sent to you, please visit the Customer Service tab on the booking process and underneath, "Forgotten your details?" you can enter the email address you used to book with. This will re-send your E-Tickets and email confirmation to you.
