What is The Kingdom of The Snow Queen?

The kingdom of The Snow Queen re-imagined within Britain’s Greatest Palace

New for 2022, explore the Palace rooms, each one exquisitely transformed and filled with hidden surprises - discover the glistening Land of Snowflakes filled with a silvery frost-covered forest and venture into the wintery Kingdom of Ice.

It’s a fairy-tale world where we really want a happy-ever-after. Will the ice-cold Snow Queen ever change her ways? Perhaps the kind reindeer will save the day and help reunite the two young friends. This fantastical winter wonderland is where the magic really begins….

Christmas at Blenheim Palace is suitable for all ages - to be enjoyed by everyone.

Are dogs allowed within the Palace for The Kingdom of the Snow Queen?

Only guide dogs and registered assistance dogs are allowed within the Palace or on the Illuminated Trail. Pet dogs are not allowed onto the trail or within the Palace.

If I am delayed and miss my entry time slot for The Kingdom of The Snow Queen, can I join at a later time?

We will try and accommodate you into the Palace on the next available slot, subject to availability.

How long will it take to walk through the Kingdom of the Snow Queen?

We recommend to allow approximately one hour for the experience.

What should I wear?

The Illuminated Trail takes place outdoors and you may need to queue outdoors for The Kingdom of The Snow Queen on busy days. Please ensure you have sufficient warm and waterproof clothing. Visitors are strongly advised to wear sturdy shoes as the Illuminated Trail takes place on natural paths covering areas of uneven ground and variable terrain.

Can I bring food or drink into the Palace for the Kingdom of the Snow Queen?

Food and drink is strictly prohibited within the Palace.

Can I take photographs?

We encourage you to take photographs and to share these on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #ChristmasAtBlenheimPalace. You can also follow the developments accross our Christmas Trails via 'My Christmas Trails' on Facebook.

Can I bring my drone?

Drones are not permitted.

Do I have to book in advance?

We recommend that you book early. Each time entry has a limited capacity and the early evening and weekend slots are likely to sell out quickly.

Infants and carers go free of charge, but must be booked in advance.

All orders are subject to a single transaction charge; £2.00 per transaction for E-Tickets.

What is a combined ticket?

A combined ticket includes entry to The Kingdom of The Snow Queen and the Illuminated Trail.

How can I organise a group for Christmas at Blenheim Palace and is there a group rate?

If you wish to make a group booking for 15 or more people for the Palace, please email See Tickets Groups: groups@seetickets.com

Group discounts are not available to book online.

All customers are reminded to be aware of the latest government legislation when visiting the light trail. Please be mindful that legislation may change between time of booking and day of visit.

How/when will I receive my tickets?

Your E-Tickets can be downloaded via the link within your confirmation email, or alternatively, by logging into your order via the Customer Service tab.

I bought tickets but have not received a confirmation email. What should I do?

Please check your Junk/Spam folders as sometimes the confirmation email falls into these folders. If you still have not receied your confirmation email, please visit the Customer Service at the top of the booking process and undernath "Forgotten your details?" you can type in the email address you used to book your tickets with. This will re-send your email confirmation to you and your E-Tickets.

How can I contact See Tickets?

For ticketing enquiries, please visit the Customer Service tab here and type in your order reference number, followed by either your post code, phone number or last 4 digits of your payment card. Once complete, please click on 'Find Order' and scroll to the 'Contact Us' section at the bottom of the page. Here you can provide brief details of your enquiry and See Tickets will get back to you.

For all other enquiries, please refer to the FAQs or use the Chat Bot facility in the bottom right corner of your screen.

I purchased TicketPlan, can I have a refund?

The refund protection selected at the point of purchase is a personal cover designed to cover yourself and your designated party against an unforeseen circumstance that prevents you attending the trail you have booked for. If you want to submit a claim, please fill in TicketPlan's online application form which can be found here

We will then liaise with TicketPlan to provide them with any information they may require regarding the details of your booking. Please note that you are only covered in certain circumstances and we do not guarantee that you will receive a refund from TicketPlan. How much does it cost to park for Christmas at Blenheim Palace?

£10.00 per car at Blenheim Palace*

Parking on the day is subject to availability and costs £10.00 for Annual Pass Holders and £12.00 for non Annual Pass Holders.

How do I book parking for a coach?

To book a space for your coach, please email groups@seetickets.com

Coaches are charged at £20.00

Do I have to purchase parking in advance?

Yes, all parking is limited and a parking space MUST be purchased in advance online. A transaction fee will apply if car parking is booked separately.

If you have not purchased parking with your ticket, local parking is otherwise limited and fly parking will not be permitted. There will be limited on-the-night parking available at the car park however this cannot be guaranteed.

Is there a bus or coach service to and from Blenheim Palace?

There is a regular bus service from Oxford and Oxford Parkway train station. For timetables and tickets, please visit www.stagecoachbus.com or www.oxfordbus.co.uk

There are regular coach services running from London Victoria Coach station to Gloucester Green in Oxford. You can check prices and times by visiting www.oxfordtube.com

How can I travel to Blenheim Palace by train?

The nearest train station is Oxford Parkway. Please check train schedules carefully to ensure you leave adequate time to travel from the station to Blenheim Palace and for your return. For timetables and tickets, please visit www.gwr.com or www.chilternrailways.co.uk. The journey from Oxford Parkway train station to Blenheim Palace takes approximately 15 minutes, though may take longer during rush hour or busy periods.

I am an Annual Pass Holder at Blenheim Palace, do I need to book a ticket for The Kingdom of The Snow Queen?

Yes. As an Annual Pass Holder, you will need to book your time slot for The Kingdom of The Snow Queen. Your valid Annual Pass gives you free entry to the story of The Kingdom of The Snow Queen before 4pm.

Please note that if you are purchasing Annual Pass Holder tickets, you must have a pass that is valid at the time of your Christmas visit, not just valid at the time of booking.

How do I become an Annual Pass Holder?

To become an Annual Pass Holder, purchase a Palace ticket online (for The Kingdom of the Snow Queen) and then choose to donate your Palace admission to Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation at the end of the booking process.

Where do I collect my Annual Pass?

Tickets can be exchanged for Annual Passes after your Christmas visit.

What benefits will Annual Pass Holders receive at Christmas at Blenheim Palace?

Annual Pass Holders will benefit from free entry into The Kingdom of The Snow Queen before 4pm subject to availability. A ticket for free entry MUST be booked online in advance and one valid Annual Pass Photocard or Annual Pass collection voucher must be shown on arrival for each ticket - failure to do so will result in a full price charge on the day or refusal of entry. A Photo Card Annual Pass will be required to access the Palace. 

Annual Pass Holder discounts do not apply on Sat 10th Dec, Sun 11th Dec, Sat 17th Dec & Sun 18th Dec.

Is The Kingdom of the Snow Queen suitable for wheelchair users?

Inside the Palace the State Rooms are all on one level and accessible for wheelchair users.

Is there a lift or ramp within the Palace for The Kingdom of the Snow Queen?

There is a ramp and a lift to get into the Palace for wheelchair users. The Palace lift is situated in the Great Courtyard towards the West colonnades.

Can I bring my own mobility scooter or can mobility scooters be provided?

Mobility scooters will not be available at Christmas at Blenheim Palace. You are therefore welcome to bring your own.

I need more than one carer, what should I do?

Disabled ticket holders are entitled to one free carer ticket for an essential carer / companion. This should be booked via See Tickets at the same time as purchasing all other tickets and parking spaces.

Is there a quiet access session?

These sessions are for adults and young people who would love to experience Christmas at Blenheim Palace without the usual high volumes of people. The sessions will begin before the Palace opens to the public. For Christmas at Blenheim Palace 2022, the Palace Quiet Access session will be held on Tuesday 13th December and Tuesday 27th December.

The capacity of these sessions will be limited to ensure that the Palace remains less crowded and more relaxed.

How do I book Afternoon Tea?

Can I purchase food and drink on site?

There will be a number of seasonal food and drink chalets serving hot, hand-held food, catering also for younger visitors and certain dietary needs. Hot drinks will also be on offer. Visitors can also toast marshmallows at one of our purpose-built fire pits.

Is there a gift shop?

Blenheim Palace has a well-stocked gift shop which is open until 10:00pm on nights the trail is open.

How much are Ride Tokens?

Ride Token Vouchers cost £10.00 for 4 Ride Tokens. This year for Christmas at Blenheim Palace, there will be a Toyset, Helter Skelter, Carousel and Swing Boats.

What happens if the Palace is cancelled?

If we are forced to cancel, the decision will be taken as early as possible on the day once the team have been able to fully assess the situation.

If I am unable to attend a different day, can I get a refund?

If the Palace is cancelled due to weather and ticket holders are not able to attend, an alternative night will be offered, then a refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We can also offer a voucher for the following year.

I have booked for the wrong day, can I transfer over to another day?

No, we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds once tickets have been purchased. Is it noted on the website and at the point of booking that you need to make sure that you have chosen the right date and timeslot at the time of making your booking.
